Episode 1: Family Leave Insurance Basics

In this episode we are talking about Family Leave Insurance benefits. New Jersey workers can collect benefits to bond with a newborn, newly adopted, newly placed foster child, to provide care for a sick family member, or to handle matters related to domestic or sexual violence. 
*To qualify for Family Leave Insurance in 2021, you must have worked 20 weeks earning at least $220 weekly, or have earned a combined total of $11,000 in four calendar quarters during the 18 months prior to your claim.  

Episode 2: More About Family Leave Insurance

In this episode we are talking about Family Leave Insurance benefits. New Jersey workers can collect benefits to bond with a newborn, newly adopted, newly placed foster child, to provide care for a sick family member, or to handle matters related to domestic or sexual violence. 
*Workers can receive Family Leave Insurance benefits for twelve consecutive weeks (84 days) or up to eight weeks (56 days) of intermittent leave in a 12-month period. Workers are paid 85% of their average weekly wage, up to the maximum weekly benefit rate set for that calendar year.

Episode 3: Temporary Disability Insurance

In this episode, we are talking about Temporary Disability Insurance. Temporary Disability provides benefits for New Jersey workers who suffer an illness, injury, or other disability such as pregnancy, that prevents them from working. 
*To qualify for Temporary Disability Insurance in 2021, you must have worked 20 weeks earning at least $220 weekly, or have earned a combined total of $11,000 in four calendar quarters during the 18 months prior to your claim. Workers are paid 85% of their average weekly wage, up to the maximum weekly benefit rate set for that calendar year.
